These photographs were taken in August 2001, a few short weeks before September 11. It is the only time we had ever met Firefighter Vincent Princiotta.
       He spent a generous half hour showing my son Henry around the firehouse. When I was ready to leave, Vinny said we couldn't go just yet, because he still hadn't shown him the hose.
      When we were finally able to tear ourselves away, he gave Henry a coloring book.
